I survived my spay! I am home resting and doing well. Cards, letters of appreciation, bones and treats can be sent to my PO box. Thanks for all of your well wishes, Dr. Yarrow did a great job. Click “read more” for more pictures.
Goodbye lady bits

Tomorrow I am having an ovohysterectomy (aka spay). This is real surgery and mommy says I can’t have water after midnight. I hope all goes well. My sister Maddy is going to miss me tomorrow, I told her I’ll be fine and I’ll see her Friday morning. She told me that she’s been through it herself, and it wasn’t that bad. Wish me luck!!!! I don’t know if I can make any promises not to jump for 10 days. I am, after all, a “Springer.”

2008 AHA Heart Walk - New Haven
May 18th, 2008 Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »Today, mommy and daddy took Maddy and I to a Heart Walk. This walk helps provide funding for critical research to treat, prevent and cure heart disease. We aren’t sure what all that means, but after a 3 mile walk (and then some) we are tired. We definitely have to do this again next year and check out the Dogfather Mobile Grooming. Below is a picture of me warming up for the walk. Click the picture below for more pictures from today’s walk.
What a day!!!
May 11th, 2008 Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »Today mommy and daddy took us for a walk on the Guilford Green (we wanted to visit Jo Anne Basile at Paws By the Green but they were closed). As we were walking to the car, I met my sister Opal (now named Nellie!)’s new mommy. She was on her way to a Mother’s Day facial (I really should have gotten one for my mommy). I sure miss my the jewel crew (my name was Jade and my litter mates all had gem names) but its nice to know we’re close by. I hope we get to meet soon. Here’s a picture of me in the early days with my crew. Can you guess which one I am?

I “think” it’s me on the far right…I was a piggy then and a piggy now!

I’m uber-patient, waiting for Doc Carter!
April 25th, 2008 Posted in Uncategorized | 1 Comment »
I just love Dr. Carter! Today I went to get my last Lyme shot of this series. No more shots for me, just a spay in May (hoo hoo, that rhymes!). Here I am hanging out, waiting on the doc to come in at Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital in Branford. When I got there, I met two barky doxies and the owner (Robyne) knew mommy. I told her to come visit our site. I hope she does! The scale says I’m 23.5 lbs but I think its off. I’m at least 25. Doc Carter said that its been reading funny all week.

Zoe and I hanging out with a cow at the Hamden dog park. Not too sure why he was there, this place is for dogs silly! Before going to the park, we went on a walk and met Troy, the 10 month old ESS down the street. Then we went with mommy to get her purse from work (wohoo) and to Yale fields to watch daddy play (and lose) in softball. Then we went to the dog park (pictured above). After that, we went to “Two Smiling Dogs” in Hamden and had some great fresh baked treats! Yum! Now we are asleep…..ZzZzzzz!
